S. Lynnise Hammon is the eldest child of Pastor Michael L. and Sheila D. Alexander. A graduate of Millwood High School, Lynnise continued her education at Metro Technology Center, where she received her certification in Mental Health. Her love of people further led her to working in the Oklahoma City Public School district, Oklahoma Halfway House, Southwest Airlines, and Lucent Technologies (until their doors closed). She has been with her current employer, American Fidelity Assurance Co., for 11 years and is the owner of Validity Mobile Notary Service, LLC.
Lynnise’s love for community has driven her to proudly serves as a Steering Committee Member of the Urban League of Greater Oklahoma Guild. She serves as the Executive Director for the H.O.P.E. Foundation and has served on the Executive Board of Spring Eternal Behavioral Health for the last eight years. Of all the things she loves doing, working with the youth is where her heart lies. She alongside her husband and others founded a youth football and cheerleading program. Outside of her role as a founder, Lynnise maintained the Head Cheer Coach position for the ten-year duration of the program. Due to the strain of trying to balance being a supportive mother and maintaining the football/cheer program, she and her husband decided to step away. This move led her back to her beloved alma mater, Millwood High School, where her children also attended. She has volunteered in many areas at the school; however, her passion was with the band, where she was the Flag Corp. Coach of the Millwood Marching Storm for three years. Lynnise is a proud and faithful member of The Church Triumphant Ministries. She has served in the Youth Ministry and the Outreach Program, where she would go with the ministry team to the Juvenile Correction Center. She has also served on the usher board and is the current Planning and Events Committee chairperson.
Lynnise has been married to her wonderful husband, Lamar Hammon, for 29 years. They have three sons, together. With all that she does, nothing fulfills her heart more than spending time with her four beautiful grandchildren. A few quotes that she lives by: “People need loving the most when they deserve it the least” – John Harrison “People don’t care how much you know, until they know how much you care” – Theodore Roosevelt
